Three years after moving into their new house, and inspired by the waterfall at Virginia Water, the owners of this small garden wanted all year round interest with the minimum of maintenance.
After levelling the heavy clay and creating a trickling waterfall leading into a stream circling the lawn, slate rockery stone and a slate chippings mulch were used to contrast with the clean lines of a deck inset with slate paving.
